Desert Breezes is a Planned Unit Development (also known as Common Interest Development) located in Palm Desert, California at the northwest corner of Fred Waring Drive and Washington Street.  

The mixed use residential enclave covers 75 acres and was developed by Williams Development, Inc., beginning in 1984 and completed in 1988.

Desert Breezes offers location and tennis at its best.  Situated on the corner of Washington Street and Fred Waring Drive in Palm Desert, our homeowners need only walk across the street to be at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden or the Southwest Community Church.

Residents enjoy easy access to Interstate 10, Highway 111, shopping, restaurants, and airport.  The backdrop of the Santa Rosa Mountains nicely frames the 200-plus Mediterranean style homes, many boasting private pools and spas.

The gated community is composed of 247 freestanding two, three and four bedroom homes measuring 1,441 square feet to 2,062 square feet in size.  In addition there are 48 one and two bedroom condominium units, 28 "Quartershare" timeshare units, and 76 studio, one and two bedroom condominium units with 3,850 owners of the timeshare intervals.

Homeowners enjoy use of a large clubhouse with full-time Activity Director and well-equipped exercise room adjoining a large community pool.  In addition, for recreation there are five (two lighted) tennis courts and five community swimming pools.  

Homeowners Association dues are reasonable (under $300) and, in addition to the above, include gated access, security patrols, street and landscape maintenance, trash removal, cable television, and dwelling exterior painting.
